Today's "Design of the Day" are some cute little flower cards I made out of scraps. 

These great little 3 x 3 cards are perfect to use when you want to drop someone a quick note or you need a card to place in a gift bag.

Using those scraps really exercises your creativity and because they are made using scraps the cards seem that much more special.  :)

Stampin' Up! Best Dad Ever Vases

Today's "Design of the Day" is as promised a card using the Best Dad Ever Stamp Set to create vases.  In this card I took the tie stamp and turned it upside down covered the tips and turned the tie into a vase.

I love it when you can take a stamp and use it in a totally unexpected way!

I used my markers instead of my stamp set and only colored in three of the ties leaving every other tie blank, this created three vases as oppose to five.

Today's "Design of the Day" are small 5 x 5 travel journals I made for some young ladies I know that are getting ready to leave on a mission trip to Arizona.  These little books will be great for writing down memories and feelings each day and allow for enough room when they get back home to add photos. 

The only change I would have made when creating these books is that I would have added the ribbons after the books were complete.  Usually I stamp on a paper and add it to my pages but in these books I stamped directly to the pages.  The bows made the stamping a little difficult because I could not get a flat surface.  This is something to remember when stamping.  Lesson learned! ;)

Stampin' Up! Sending Worm Wishes

The Bugs and Kisses Stamp Set is just so cute, I can't resist Posting one more card with these stamps for today's "Design of theDay".  On this card I combined all three of the new embossing powders out of the summer mini to get a totally different look.  The other thing I really love about this card is that I could place it in the top corner of a scrapbook page and it would work wonderfully for camping photos!
