Did you know that Butterflies were called Flutter By's years ago. This is a great time of the year to start seeing these delicate creatures. I just love to watch them, they are so amazing. Today's "Design of the Day" displays some of the beautiful colors we see in these gorgeous animals. The colors I used for this card are from the new "In Color" group for 2010 - 2011.
As promised, I continued the theme of gems. On this card I used a rhinestone on each butterfly and tiny pearls in the center of each flower.
TIP: If you want to make these butterflies look as though they just landed on your card, stamp them first then use the Stampin' Up! Butterfly Extra Large Punch to cut them out. Before you glue them down use your fingers to roll the wings up, making them look as though they are flying.
Stampin' Up items used on this card include:
- Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz, Concord Crush, Blushing Bride and Whisper White Smooth Card Stock and Inks
- Basic Rhinestone and Pearl Gems
- Butterfly Extra Large Punch
- "Flight of the Butterfly" and "Teeny Tiny Wishes" stamp sets
Have a great design day!!!
