Summer Camps Ages 7-18

Hi Stampers!  Are you looking for a creative way for the young girl in your life to spend her summer?

How about registering her for one of my summer scrapbook camps.  I am offering two scrapbook camps for ages 7 to 10 and 11 to 13.  This give girls an opportunity to make two different scrapbooks if they would like to sign up for both camps.

I am also offering a scrapbook camp for High School Girls, Ages 14 to 18.

Girls signing up for more than one camp or sisters or friends that sign up together to attend the same camp are eligible for a discount.

This is a great way for girls to create a scrapbook to keep all their school or summer memories in.

In addition, to creating a great little scrapbook, girls will have an opportunity to learn about different scrapbooking and stamping equipment and how to use these pieces of equipment.

Maybe you have a creative guru on your hands and she wants more.  Take a look at my summer jewelry camps for girls ages 10 to 18.  Discounts also apply to these camps!

Stampin' Flower Fest

I love this new stamp set in the Summer Mini Catalog.  This may be my favorite stamp set of the year.  It is no secret that I love flowers and butterflies and this set has both!

There are so many different things that can be done with these stamps, I think I will keep it forever.

After stamping my images on paper I used the Watercolor Wonder Crayons and a blender pen to punch up the color on the card.  I think next time I am going to emboss the flowers and use an Aqua Painter to blend the colors giving it a more water colored look. Get this set and give it a whirl!

If you design a project with one of the stamp sets on any of my blogs and email me a photo of it to share with others I will mail you a stamp only demonstrators can buy, as a thank you!  This special will continue through May 31, 2011.

Stampin' Up! products I used on this card include:
  • Whisper White and Pretty in Pink Smooth Card Stock
  • Watercolor Wonder Crayons
  • Blender Pens
  • Rose Red, Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait and Basic Black Inks
  • Dimensionals
  • Flower Fest Stamp Set

Did you know that when a stamp image has a line around it, like many of the ones above, there is a punch Stampin' Up! sells that matches that shape.
This makes cutting images out so much easier!

Have fun and don't forget to email me photos of your projects!

Girl Scout Girtopia Scrapbook Pages

I am so proud of the girls in my Girls Scout Troop.  These young ladies have spent the year learning about female issues all over the world and how to become better woman and leaders.  This was all part of their Senior Girl Scout Journey "Girltopia".  The girls ended their program for the year by hosting an event for younger girls, ages 5 to 11.  They taught the younger girls about eating healthy, exercise through dance and games, skin care and beauty tips, and fun and stress reduction through song and scrapbooking.

Each troop had a picture taken and then made either a blue or pink scrapbook page.  They then added their photo to the page as a memory of the day.  It was a wonderful day and the younger girls really enjoyed making these pages.  I think next to having their nails painted by high school girls, the scrapbook project was a favorite!

Girls you did a great job, you planned and held a wonderful event.

Stampin' Up! products the girls used on these pages include:
  • Night of Navy, Marina Mist, Pretty in Pink and Rose Red Inks
  • Basic Rhinestone and Pearl Jewels
  • Flight of the Butterfly Stamp Set
  • Vintage Vogue Stamp Set

Fun & Fast Notes Thank You

Today's "Design of the Day" is a quick little Thank You card.  I know many of you are looking for a stamp set that gives you the greatest options.  The stamp set I used today is great because it allows you to make, Birthday, Thank You, Thinking of You, Congratulation, New Baby, Wedding, Christmas and Get Well cards.

WOW, that is just about everything.  This was one of my first stamp sets just for the reason that it is so versatile and if the versatility is not enough the art is also really cute.  Check it out!

On this card I used markers to color in the chick and flower.
I then added a pearl and popped up the flower with a dimensional to snazze it up a little.
This was a fun card to make, give it a try.

Progressive Scrapbook Page

I am so excited about today's "Design of the Day", a progressive scrapbook page.  I just heard about these, where have I been?  One more great design from Susanne, thanks for teaching me so much!

A progressive scrap book page is really one page that could be used for three different size scrapbooks.  The most popular size scrapbooks are 6x6, 8x8, and 12x12.  All three of these sizes are represented in this one page.  You start by building a 6x6 page.  Then you move on and build an 8x8 and add your 6x6 to it.  Finally you design a 12x12 and add the previous 8x8 to it.

Those of you that do not like to scrapbook, can take the 6x6 and fold in in half to make a 3x6 card, so cool, I just love it.  Check out the photos below and you can see how this page, Susanne taught me, can be built one step at a time.
This is the 6x6.
Stampin' Up! products used on this page include, "Things I Love" stamp set, ticket corner punch, Play Date designer paper and Real Red, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White smooth card stock.

This is the 8x8.  See the 6x6 on the page?  ;)
In addition to the items listed above this page includes Stampin' Up! products;
Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive and So Saffron Smooth Card Stock.

This is the 12x12.
OK, now you can see all three sizes layered on top of each other.  Neat Huh?!
Additional Stampin' Up! products used on this page include;
1-3/4" Circle Punch and the 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch.

I love this new scrapbooking technique and can't wait to try it with other colors and papers!

Thanks and have a great day.

Mother's Day Gifts

Hi Everyone, today I would like to share my Mother's Day gifts from my loving and sweet daughter.  She is so artistic and made these wonderful gifts for me in school.  The "Design of the Day" is the Mother's Day card she made me at a school function where she worked with middle school girls, teaching card making.  Susanne my upline demonstrator with Stampin' Up! is the card designer.  Thanks, Madilynn and Susanne!!!!

Home made gifts and cards are the best, that's just one of the reasons I love my job!

Around the edge of the plate Madilynn etched,
"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hid." Matthew 5:14,
I wish I could get the camera to pick up the etching ;(

This plate says,
"He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name.  Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit." Psalm 147:4-5

These gifts make me smile every time I look at them!

Susanne and Madilynn used Stampin' Up's! Vintage Vogue Stamp Set and
Scallop Trim Border Punch to make this great little card.
